Artifact Description
A mourning adornment fashioned in the form of a skull pendant, distinguished by a field of deep blue beneath an arrangement of pearls and crystal. Unlike other recorded examples, the ornamentation recalls neither restraint nor solemnity, but the quiet persistence of memory itself. Entered into the Ledger as an object in which vivid color serves remembrance rather than diminishes it.
Provenance
The precise origin remains unconfirmed. Its present construction reflects careful modern workmanship, while its uncommon coloration recalls mineral pigments and decorative finishes encountered upon objects of considerably greater age. No authenticated example has been accompanied by documentation sufficient to establish an earlier history.
